Doing so could prove difficult against Chicago, which has had the Sharks’ number of late. The Blackhawks took this season’s first meeting 5-2 on Nov. 9, improving to 5-0-2 in the series dating to February 2013. All but two of those games, however, came in Chicago. The Blackhawks are 1-3-2 in their last six visits to San Jose. Chicago (31-16-2) opened a three-game stretch in California with Wednesday’s 4-3 loss to Los Angeles before bouncing back to beat the Ducks 4-1 on Friday. Patrick Kane stayed hot with two goals and an assist while Patrick Sharp assisted on all four goals, matching a career high. Duncan Keith also scored to become the fifth defenseman in Blackhawks history to reach 400 points. “You put yourself in that position where you’re doing the right things for 50, 55 minutes and come up with air, that’s tough.” Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane combined for two goals and two assists as Chicago dropped to 3-4-1 in its last eight away from home. The Blackhawks are in the midst of seven straight road games. “It’s certainly frustrating on our part, we can’t be happy,” said Sharp, who has five points in the last four games. “It’s that time of year where points – they’re always valuable – but they’re even more valuable going down the stretch. We have to find a way to do better.” Things aren’t about to get any easier against the Ducks, who have won 11 of 13 at home, including four in a row by a 19-8 margin. However, Chicago is seeking a third consecutive victory at Honda Center after winning 4-1 on Nov. 28. The Blackhawks went 1-for-4 with the man-advantage against the Kings, and are now 4-for-14 (28.6 percent) on the power play in their last four contests. * The Ducks were shellacked, 6-3, by the Sharks at SAP Center last night, snapping their six-game winning streak in the process. Anaheim is 37-0-2 (.974) when netting at least three markers at Honda Center since the beginning of last season the best home mark of any NHL club in such contests. * The Blackhawks and Ducks have split their first two meetings in 2014-15, each beating the other on the road. These two clubs have played 16 times total over the last 4+ seasons, and each has won eight of those tilts. * Patrick Kane had a goal and a helper Wednesday night, and with 53 points on the season, is now tied with Tyler Seguin for the scoring lead in the Western Conference. Including two goals in these clubs last game (November 28), Kane has 10 points (4g, 6a) in his last 12 skates vs. the Ducks. * Matt Beleskey lit the lamp last night, giving him a goal in back-to-back games, and 19 markers on the season overall tied with Corey Perry for the team lead.
