Morin tallied 28 shots and 15 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Blackhawks this season. The 23-year-old was held to 10:13 of ice time or less in each contest, and didn’t register a point. Morin was a healthy scratch in each of the last eight games to prompt the conditioning stint, which can last up to two weeks. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Morin was unhappy with his situation and asked to be traded if he wasn’t going to be played. The Bruins play host to the Chicago Blackhawks at TD Garden at 7 p.m. ET. The Blackhawks are rolling as they enter the game on a seven-game win streak. Chicago hasn’t exactly been feasting on lesser-thans during the streak either. Chicago has wins against Montreal, Nashville, St. Louis, Anaheim, and Los Angeles in that time, and now the team faces a Bruins squad coming off a 5-2 win against Arizona on Saturday. Even counting Saturday’s victory, however, Boston has lost five of the past seven games. The team is looking to get things right and may have David Krejci back against Chicago. With Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane , and Marian Hossa to wrangle as well as recently returned Patrick Sharp , at least the Bruins have Tuukka Rask . Elsewhere, the Columbus Blue Jackets take their four-game winning streak into Washington to face Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals at 7 p.m. Columbus has gotten great play from Sergei Bobrovsky and has a host of different forwards scoring goals. The Caps would like to see a bit more from Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom as they try to extend their three-game winning streak. source: http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2014/12/11/7375175/2014-nhl-schedule-blackhawks-bruins-tv-schedule

Chicago is definitely one of the teams that are a measuring stick for anyone in the league. The Blackhawks are on a season-high seven-game win streak and own the second-most road wins (10) in the NHL. TV, Radio Information: NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub Season Series: First meeting Record: Boston (15-12-1, 5th in Atlantic), Chicago(19-8-1, 1st in Central) Bruins Player To Watch: Brad Marchand was Bostons best forward on the recent road trip and scored three goals with two assists in those four games. He likely will be matched up against Toews line (includes Brandon Saad and Marian Hossa), which is one of the best defensive trios in the league. If Marchand is able to generate offense for himself and his teammates against this tough defensive matchup, the Bruins will have a good chance of securing two points. BlackhawksPlayer To Watch: Patrick Kane ranks first on Chicago in goals (12), second in assists (14), second in shots on goal (88) and first in scoring (26 points) through 28 games. Hes scored two goals with one assist in his last three games. Kane is one of the leagues most exciting players and a threat to score on each shift with his excellent shot, elite playmaking skills and top-tier speed. Key Stat For Bruins: If Chara does return, it should givetheBs a major boost from a puck possession standpoint. The Bruins have a 55.1 Corsi-for percentage at 5-on-5 when Chara is in the lineup. Without him, that number drops to 51.2 percent, which is a decent decline. Chara himself has a 57.31 CF% at 5-on-5, which means Boston accounts for about 5.7 out of every 10 shot attempts when hes on the ice. source: http://nesn.com/2014/12/bruins-blackhawks-preview-chicago-brings-7-game-win-streak-to-td-garden/
