Hes got goals in two straight. David Backes scored the other goal. Its been a pretty quiet year for bruising center. Seven goals is not too bad, but 11 points? Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu got the goals for the Wild. Parise was all over the place in this one, getting nine shots on goal, too. He has a point in four of his last five games. The 30-year-old enjoyed a productive season with nine goals and 18 points. The Blues will likely sign Martin Brodeur early in the week, but this is clearly Jake Allens job. He made 36 saves Saturday. With Brian Elliott on the shelf, Im curious to see how Allen does as the bonafide number one. Itll be even more interesting with a future Hall of Famer lurking, too. source: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/dose-ducks-sick-couture-071200347–nhl.html

It was the first meeting between the teams since the Western Conference finals, won in seven games by the eventual Cup champion Kings. Chicago regained its two-goal margin at 8:14 of the second on a rush in which four players touched the puck in the Kings end. Richards converted Michal Rozsival’s pass at the left of the net for his sixth goal and third in two games. Brad Richards 2 goals lead Chicago Blackhawks over L.A.b Kings | FOX Sports

Louis Blues makes a save against the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center on April 6, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois. The Blackhawks defeated the Blues 4-2. He did not return for the third period and did not speak following the 3-2 loss to Ottawa. We will let you know (Wednesday), Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock said following the game. Injuries are part of it. We will see how long he is out for. The injury appeared to impact Elliotts right leg and was the result of a blue-paint scrum that involved a majority of the players who were on the ice at the time. As he was falling to his back, Elliotts leg appeared to buckle after being slightly caught underneath his body. Senators Erik Condra also tumbled over Elliott as he was falling. There were guys falling everywhere, bodies everywhere so it was tough to see what actually happened, said defenseman Ian Cole. Hopefully hes not out long. The goaltender remained down for a lengthy period of time before testing out his leg with trainer Ray Barile. After several minutes and a long discussion with Barile, Elliott reluctantly limped down the tunnel to the Blues locker room. Jake Allen took over in goal. source: http://www.kmov.com/sports/Elliott-exits-Tuesdays-game-with-a-lower-body-injury-283925501.html
