The Rangers, meanwhile, have been scuffling over their past 10 with a 3-3-4 record. The Habs will look to take advantage of the reeling Rangers — off since Wednesday after their game Friday in Buffalo was postponed — as they try to extend their lead on the rest of the league. This is the second meeting between last season’s Eastern Conference finalists. Montreal won the first tilt 3-1. Pick: Canadiens 3, Rangers 2 Arizona Coyotes at Anaheim Ducks , 8 p.m. ET The Ducks are still clinging to the top spot in the Pacific and will meet a Coyotes team that earned a hard-fought win in the first two meetings between these two clubs. After an ugly start, the Coyotes have at least been giving themselves a chance recently. The goaltending situation in Arizona remains shaky, but the Coyotes have enough offensively to give their opponent fits. Still, the Ducks are getting healthier and continue to be one of the league’s toughest teams to take two points from. Pick: Ducks 4, Coyotes 2 Three stars 1. source: http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/24833464/nhl-daily-picks-is-there-still-heat-between-blackhawks-canucks

BLUES 4, JETS 2 WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) – Ryan Reaves scored the game-winner in his hometown as the Blues beat the Jets . Reaves scored 2:25 into the third period when he grabbed a loose puck near the side of Winnipeg’s net, spun around and sent a low shot by goalie Ondrej Pavelec for the 3-2 lead. Jaden Schwartz and David Backes each scored on the power play for St. Louis (13-6-1) and Paul Stastny added an empty-netter. Alexander Steen, who’s also from Winnipeg, and Alex Pietrangelo each had a pair of assists. Bryan Little scored his sixth of the season and Jim Slater got Winnipeg’s fourth line its first goal of the year. It was the Jets’ second straight loss and moved their record to 10-9-3. St. Louis backup goalie Jake Allen made 29 saves in the victory. Pavelec turned aside 26 shots. source: http://www.foxsports.com/nhl/story/nhl-capsules-112414

Daniel Sedin will play in his 1,000th NHL game Sunday night. (USATSI)

The soft-spoken goaltender ranks among the NHL leaders with a career-low 1.88 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. He also is a key part of the NHLs top penalty-kill unit, turning away 92.3 percent of man-advantage chances. The Blackhawks are searching for consistency in several areas heading into Thursday nights matchup at Calgary, the opener of a six-game road trip while the circus moves into the United Center. But they look just fine in goal with Crawford and his steady, even-keeled approach. I think his focus has been excellent every day on the ice, practice days as well, Quenneville said after practice on Wednesday. He really seems like hes concentrating on the next shot, the next situation. His preparations been excellent. The next challenge for Crawford is helping make up for the loss of rookie defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk, who broke his left kneecap when he took a puck off his leg during Sundays 6-2 victory over Dallas. The 23-year-old van Riemsdyk will have surgery on Thursday and is expected to be sidelined for three to four months. Van Riemsdyk had been a pleasant surprise for Chicago, playing mostly with David Rundblad or Michal Rozsival on the third defensive pairing. Adam Clendening was promoted from the minors on Tuesday and likely will make his NHL debut on the upcoming road trip. Ive just been working on my game and these guys here, to their credit, have probably the best six around the league, said Clendening, a second-round pick in the 2011 draft who could see some time at the point on Chicagos second power-play unit. source: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/nov/19/blackhawks-looking-for-consistency-on-circus-trip/?utm_source=RSS_Feed&utm_medium=RSS

Detroit, @ New York Islanders Rested Team: None Tired Team: None Notes Cory Schneider could break the Devils franchise record on November 21 if he makes his 20th straight start to begin the season. He is not off to a great start this season with an 8-8-2 record to go with a 2.72 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Look for Keith Kinkaid to get a start soon, likely before the end of this week although Schneider will likely get the start in his old stamping grounds, Vancouver. Ryane Clowe (concussion) did not accompany the Devils on their current Western Canada swing and has missed the last six games. After a tremendous start to the season, Damon Severson has been held pointless in his last eight games but does have 19 shots in those games so he is still not afraid to shoot. NEW YORK ISLANDERS vs. Philadelphia, vs. Washington, @ Washington, vs. New Jersey Rested Team: vs. Tampa Bay (Tuesday) Tired Team: None Notes The Islanders play a home-and-home series with Washington this week so look for Matt Martin and Travis Hamonic to increase their penalty minute totals if there are any fisticuffs. They also play three games in four nights as part of a four game week and Chad Johnson should get into one game in place of Jaroslav Halak. John Tavares has only a goal and two assists in his last five games so look for him to break out very soon. source: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/happy-thanksgiving-180100050–nhl.html
