1 Star: Jori Lehtera , St. Louis Blues The Blues forward scored a natural hat trick to power the Blues to a 6-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres . He scored in the first and then added two more in the second, including a shorthanded goal. Jaden Schwartz had helpers on all three. No. 3 Star: Carey Price , Montreal Canadiens Price was terrific in shutting out the Winnipeg Jets , 3-0, with 26 saves overall. It was his first shutout of the season. Honorable Mention: Cory Schneider started his 15th straight game and made 32 saves in the New Jersey Devils 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild . Six different New York Islanders scored goals and Jaroslav Halak made 20 saves in their 6-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche. Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves and Rick Nash had a goal and two assists in the New York Rangers 5-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins . Alex Ovechkin and Marcus Johansson had two goals in the Washington Capitals 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets . Roberto Luongo made 21 saves and Aaron Ekblad had two assists in the Florida Panthers 4-1 win over the San Jose Sharks . Drew Stafford and Matt Moulson scored for the Sabres (3-10-2) while goaltender Michal Neuvirth made 49 saves. – – – Hurricanes 3, Blue Jackets 2 (overtime) Elias Lindholm scored with 37.8 seconds left in overtime as the Carolina Hurricanes sent Columbus to a seventh straight loss. Scott Hartnell scored twice for Columbus (4-8-1), who took a 2-1 lead in the second period before Carolina’s Victor Rask netted the game-tying goal midway through the third. The win lifted the Hurricanes to 4-6-2. – – – Coyotes 3, Ducks 2 (Shootout) Opportunism triumphed over aggressiveness as the Arizona Coyotes beat the Anaheim Ducks in a shootout. The Ducks outshot Arizona 39-25 but allowed two goals in less than a minute during the second period and then lost the shootout as Coyotes left winger Mikkel Boedker netted the winning shootout goal.
